Freedom, Fun and Fireworks :: Indianapolis Guide to the 4th of July

It’s hard to believe that the 4th of July is almost here!  We have rounded up several of the fun festivals, parades and fireworks that the Indianapolis area has to offer!


North

Spark! Fishers – June 29th – July 1st, Fishers

A weekend long festival with a Farmers Market, 5K race, parade and fireworks on Saturday evening.

 

Star Spangled Symphony, June 29-30, July 3-4th, Conner Prairie – Fishers

Enjoy an evening of patriotic music by Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Conner Prairie. The evening ends with a fireworks display. 

 

Carmel Fest, July 3rd-4th, Carmel

An outdoor festival at Carmel Civic Square on Tuesday and Wednesday. The parade begins on Wednesday at 10:30 am and Fireworks are at 9:45 that evening.

 

Westfield Rocks the 4th – July 4th, Westfield

This event has vendors, music and even a kids zone! It begins at 4pm at Grand Park with fireworks at 10 pm. 

 

Lights Over Morse Lake – July 3rd-7th, Cicero

This event includes a festival with local vendors, a carnival, live music and more! Fireworks begin at 10 pm on the 4th.

 

Blast on the Bridge, July 4th, Geist

Another year of fireworks at the Fall Creek Bridge in Geist Reservoir. The day will also have food, drinks and activities for the kids.

 

Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Festival, July 4th, Noblesville

The parade begins at 4:30 with the festival following from 6-10pm at Noblesville High School. Fireworks are at 10pm.

 

Whitestown Independence Day Celebration, July 3rd, Whitestown

A family event in Whitestown that begins at 5pm a DJ, food, Kid Zone and fireworks at dark.


Downtown/Central

IPL Downtown Freedom Fest, July 4th, Downtown Indianapolis

This event takes place at the Indiana War Memorial grounds and includes food trucks, activities for the kids, live music and more!  Fireworks being at 10:00 pm from the Regions Tower.

 

Independence Day Celebration at Victory Field, July 4th, Downtown Indianapolis

Take the family to an Indianapolis Indians game and end the night with a fantastic fireworks display! Tickets start at $10.


West

Hendricks County Ribfest + Avon Balloon Glow, June 30th, Avon

From 5-10:30 pm, enjoy food, kids activities, tethered balloon rides and more! Fireworks begin at dark and tickets are just $5. 

 

Brownsburg Lion’s Club 4th of July Extravaganza, July 2nd-7th, Brownsburg

This festival includes carnival rides, live music and more! The parade begins at 10 am on the 4th and fireworks that evening from a new location near White Lick and Eagle elementary schools. 

 

Hummel Park’s Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza, July 4th, Plainfield

Enjoy vendors, live music, bounce houses and more at Hummel Park. Fireworks will begin at 9:55 pm.


East

New Pal Summer Fest, June 22-23, New Palestine

Live music, kids activities (including bounce houses) and even a vintage car show can be found at this event. Don’t forget to make your way through the Beer and Wine Garden too! Fireworks conclude the event on Saturday.

 

Fourth of July Fireworks, July 4th, Greenfield

Fireworks begin at dusk from Greenfield Central Junior High School. 

 

FabFortville Fireworks Festival, July 7th, Fortville

Things kick off with a parade at 5pm and the event continues with food trucks, vendors and tons of family fun activities! Enjoy music from the Flying Toasters at 7:30 and end the night with fireworks at 10:15. 


South

Greenwood Freedom Festival, June 30th, Greenwood

A parade starts the day at noon with vendors, food and live music at the event after. Fireworks begin at 10:15pm.

 

Red, White and Blueberry Festival, June 30th-July 1st, Mallow Run Winery in Bargersville

A family friendly event with food, music and all things blueberry – including the release of their special Blueberry wine. There will be live music on the lawn and the evening concludes with a fireworks display.

 

Franklin Fireworks Festival, July 3rd, Franklin

Enjoy plenty of food vendors, entertainment and more! Fireworks begin at 10:10 pm.

 

All American Day at the Park, July 3rd, Beech Grove

This event includes local vendors and concludes with fireworks.
