Kait is a small town, Indiana girl who knew she was destined for the Big(ger) City when she grew up. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education, she found her love and passion as a second grade teacher in Indianapolis, where she has been teaching for thirteen years. Kait is the mom to three sweet littles, Cohen, Lola and Remy, and a teenage step-daughter. When she isn’t busy attempting to play Super Mom, she enjoys running, fashion, Bravo TV, iced coffee and following the Royal Family. Kait and her husband Kurtis reside in Westfield where they are raising their young family.

After completing graduate school and working in public relations, Lindsay enjoys a somwhat slower pace of staying home with her two young daughters in Fishers. When she isn’t momming, she loves trying new local restaurants on date nights with her husband. Lindsay joined the IMB team in 2017.
Devon was born and raised in small town Virginia and graduated from George Mason University. She loves everything fitness and has even competed in a fitness competition. Devon cherishes her friends and family – including her husband, young daughter, and two dogs, Ty and Oliver. She never turns down a quality margarita (or chips and salsa!) and believes cheese should be its own food group. When she is not running around town making Indianapolis NEAT one home at a time, she can be found at her Crossfit gym, building furniture with Justin, or at the closest Mexican restaurant.

Lauren is an Indianapolis-based writer who lives in Broad Ripple with her husband, Jeff, and their persnickety Miniature Schnauzer, Sydney. In April 2015, a tiny, adorable human joined the family. In addition to contributing to Indianapolis Moms Blog, Lauren is a member of the Indianapolis chapter of Women Writing for a Change, a national organization aimed at nourishing and celebrating female voices. Lauren writes about everything from running, craft beer and cooking to marriage, family relationships and motherhood.

A self-proclaimed “Hot Mess Mom”, Bailey is enjoying her whirlwind life in Brownsburg with her husband, two toddlers, and golden doodle. She’s a proud IU graduate, former Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader, and now taking on her greatest adventure of all, motherhood. When she’s not chasing her kids, she has a passion for dance, yoga, and Netflix. Bailey enjoys writing about real life as a mom: the good, the bad, and the sticky.

Andee grew up in Northwest Indiana and attended Ball State University. Following graduation, she moved to Indianapolis, where she met her husband, Jim. Andee taught high school English for nearly a decade before she and her husband welcomed their son, Preston, in the spring of 2013. Amanda grew up in Avon, where she resides today. She’s a copywriter and small business owner as well as a mom to a 4-year-old boy. A co-op preschoolin’, only child-raising single mom, she’s working on living her best life while co-parenting a pretty awesome little boy along the way!
Amanda is a stay-at-home mom to an adorable toddler and two puppies. A self proclaimed momarazzi she also runs a side business at Amanda Shaffer Photography. With a camera and coffee in hand she feels she can conquer anything. She is originally from a small sleepy town and is navigating motherhood and being in a big city all at once. Her husband is her biggest supporter and fan. They are both excited to see all of the opportunities being in Indianapolis has to offer their family.
Andrea is a wife, mother and works full-time as a media buyer for Blue 449 in downtown Indy. She lives in Noblesville with her husband Dan and their one-year old son Jonathan. They are involved at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck. You can usually see her with a cup of coffee in her hand and a smile on her face. Unless she doesn’t have said coffee. Then she is frowning and running towards her Keurig. Andrea is thrilled to be involved with IMB as she goes through motherhood! She loves being able to bond with other parents. Other interests include reading, wine tasting, taking art classes and occasionally working out. Only occasionally.
Arin Rohr Schellenberg
Arin was born and raised in Greenfield Indiana and now resides on Indy’s east side. Before staying home with her three girls, she was a social worker and worked with families and children. Her husband has a desk job, but prefers to flip houses. Arin and her husband enjoy camping in their pop-up, chasing their kids around and watching too much Netflix. She notorisouly over extends herself and prefers to be crazy busy. She attempts to be as frugal as possible and you can often find her at her local Aldi store. Her and her daughters love to go to the zoo, pool, play outside and do crafts.
Ashley lives in downtown Indianapolis with her husband, Martin, daughter, Tess (1), and miniature schnauzer, Zetty (7). Ashley graduated from Taylor University with a BA in Psychology (’09) and later received her MSW from the University of Michigan (’14). She previously lived in Indianapolis from 2009-2013 and moved back in June 2017. She enjoys being a Noonday Ambassador (bit.ly/AshMagers), watching college sports with Martin, exercising at the Irsay Family YMCA, and eating avocado toast with Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend.
Britt is a Southern California native who moved to Indianapolis with her older daughter in 2014 , found her hunky husband and never looked back. She is now a stay at home mama (domestic Goddess?) raising her two girls on the Southeast side of Indy. She’s slowly but surely adapting to Indy life and finding her Hoosier tribe.
Candace Boyd Wiley
Candace Boyd Wylie Indianapolis born and bred creative. She resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with her family of three. Candace is a graduate of Huntington University, where she earned degrees in Organizational Management and Not for Profit Leadership. She is a self-taught home chef who loves to get people in kitchen cultivating amazing flavors. She is Chief foodie and spice slanger for the award winning site, foodlovetog.com In addition to being a lover of food, Candace is passionate about food justice and community.
Wife, mother and educator who has Indiana roots and a passionate spirit. Chelsea’s always had a way with words and a dramatic and energetic spirit. She is married to the love of her life, Justin. She’s the mother to a spunky and beautiful 7-year-old daughter named Hattie, an independent and rambunctious son who is 4, named Hutson and an adorable newborn named Hyland. She is currently a special education teacher in Indianapolis and has a deep love of teaching and helping to inspire students. She is a Ball State graduate but an Indiana University Hoosier at heart. Chelsea is new to IMB and excited for this new adventure.
DeAndrea is Midwest blazed, grazed and raised. She resides in Broad Ripple with her husband, Steve, daughter, Weslie Vivian, and Stephen Eric Beaven III (aka Trey). DeAndrea is a 2000 graduate of Pike High School and 2004 graduate of Indiana State University with a Degree in Communications Studies and Marketing. She works full time at Harrison College as a Senior Enrollment Specialist. In her spare time, along with blogging, DeAndrea volunteers at the Center for Leadership Development mentoring young girls. Her hobbies include, reading, shopping and being a pop culture enthusiast.
Emily is a busy working mom with 2 very active boys (Dylan & Tyler) and a very adventurous husband (Dustin)! She lives in Brownsburg and works in fundraising for a large nonprofit, promoting heart health in our youth (inspired by her oldest son who was born with a heart defect). She is also a Bootcamp instructor at her church and CycleStar at CycleBar-TradersPoint. Emily and her family love to do Spartan Races together and share their passion of creating healthy families through fitness and nutrition. She also loves audio books, yellow Labrador Retreivers, has a love/hate relationship with running and loves chocolate chip cookies.
Jan is a SAHM of two beautiful girls. Maddison (7) and Josie (2). She and her husband Kerry live in Carmel. Jan volunteers for Junior League of Indianapolis as chair of the grants committee. She is also adoption coordinator for Live 1:17 at TPCC Northwest Campus. A retired dancer and most recently development director, Jan is truly enjoying her new role as a SAHM.
Janelle is originally from Washington State, but is now a “Hoosier” of 13 years. She is a 6th grade teacher in Perry Township and lives in Greenwood with her husband, Ryan, her 8 month old son Brice and is expecting a baby girl sometime in late August. She and her husband are also parents to 3 crazy rescue hound dogs and have been involved in various dog rescue organizations over the last several years. In her free time, Janelle loves to spend time outdoors, traveling, playing sports and exploring Indiana.
Jen lives in Fishers and is a client coordinator for RE/MAX Ability Plus. She stays busy raising two boys, Nathan and Logan (a.k.a. “the Wilds”). She is passionate about writing and is the voice behind JVKom Chronicles. Jen enjoys healthy living and being active with her husband and kids. She also enjoys blogging and social media.
Kara lives in Carmel with her husband John, son Everett, daughter Lyla and French Bulldog, Winston. She is a nationally certified Group Fitness Instructor with ACE. When she moved from Chicago to Carmel, IN, she was looking for ways to get back in shape after having her son while also meeting other new moms and getting the social interaction for her son. When she found Baby Boot Camp, she decided that it would be great for Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville & Zionsville and a great way to build a mom community, and now teaches classes in each of those locations!
Kimberly is a 37 yr old working mom of a 12 year old girl with a newborn baby boy. She is recently married after being a single mom for 10 years. Kim keeps busy as the director of Body Sculpting Med Spa in Carmel and is also currently renovating a 1970s ranch home. She loves to travel, cook and entertain family and friends. Kim likes to call herself “the opposite of a Helicopter Mom” and isn’t one bit ashamed that she’s never been to one of her daughter’s class parties. This new adventure of raising both a teenager and a baby will certainly make for some interesting blog posts and exciting life lessons!
Kristi grew up in Danville, Indiana where she met her childhood sweetheart and now husband Elliott. After years of living apart including graduate school in New York City and military tours abroad, they resettled and started a family in Indianapolis. Together, they are raising two bright and busy boys—Henry and George. She is a proud extrovert who is genuinely curious about people and enjoys making new friends. She is a social worker by training and has enjoyed a 15 year career in non-profit. In her “spare” time, she enjoys reading memoirs, doing yoga, playing with her boys and listening to her husband, the funniest person she knows.
Lauren is a wife, mother and public relations professional. A born and raised Hoosier, she loves all things Indiana. After spending two years fighting the tourists in Orlando, Florida, Lauren returned home to this great state and now lives in Carmel. A self proclaimed “boy mom”, Lauren loves spending time with her little man Andrew and husband James. She is a sports lover, runner and avid traveler. Lauren considers motherhood her greatest adventure and loves that she gets to share her stories with IMB readers
Living her best life in central Indy, Lauren was born and bred a Hoosier. She is taking on this new chapter of #momlife alongside her college sweetheart of a husband, son (Blake) and fur babies (dogs: Biggs and Louie). Lauren is a nurse by day and wine lover by night. Although, being a momma is her greatest achievement thus far, she is finding time to further her nursing education. When she isn’t busy working, studying or chasing after her wild child she enjoys traveling, live music and finding joy in the little things.
Lindsay is originally from southern Indiana, but found her way to Indy by way of Chicago five years ago. She is the director of a local non-profit organization by day, and a wannabe stand-up comedian, Broadway dancer, and best-selling author by night. (“By night” as in, in her dreams.) She lives in downtown Indy with her husband and three children, Quinn (9), Oliver (5), and Eliot (2). Lindsay has a B.A. in English Literature from Indiana University and Masters of Non-Profit Management from Columbia College Chicago. She has never lost a handstand contest.
Melissa is a southerner who has made Indiana her home. She is mom to Nolan, a spunky five year old little girl, as well as soon-to-be-wife. Just this year, Melissa started Nolan James. A shopping experience for women and men. Melissa loves to be with her family and friends, work on building Nolan James, and running for sanity. You can always find her at home with her standing laundry date on Friday’s except when she has a festival to attend.
Meranda lives in Fishers with her husband, Ryan, and their two kids under two, Calliope and Quincy, as well as their very needy adopted dog Dickens. A writer and editor by trade, she also owns a handmade craft business which specializes in accessories for babies, dogs and their people. Besides child-wrangling, her hobbies include reading non-fiction books and playing board games you’ve probably never heard of. She is an Ohioan by birth and Hoosier by choice.
Molly Deuberry Craft
A native of Northwest Indiana, Molly lives in Indianapolis where her professional days are spent navigating the world of government and communications. Molly is a stepmom to two adorable, internationally adopted kids: Ana, age 10, and Yoseph, age 8. In 2018, she and her husband added a biological baby to their brood. Nikki (@NikTrojanowski) is a wife, mom, communications professional, freelance writer and former journalist, among other things. Nikki became “mama” in the fall of 2015 when she and her husband Corey welcomed Deacon and son Cohen in 2018. A Ball State University graduate and hometown Hoosier, Nikki absolutely loves Indy and has been asked by strangers if she is employed by the city (she is not). Nikki is navigating motherhood through trial and error, and with the help of Google, fellow moms and wine.
Paige is a wife, mom, and technology professional. She is a (central) Indiana native and now resides in Westfield with her husband, son, and little one on the way. She runs on chai lattes and to do lists, and lives for cold weather, good books, and attempting to organize the chaos of this beautiful thing called motherhood. While not behind a computer (working), she and her husband can often be found outside, walking their two dogs or chasing their 3 year old toddler.
Regan is a stay at home mom to little man, Damon. Originally from Columbus, IN she graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design. After meeting husband John in Boston, they moved to Indiana seeking “adventure.” She has worked a majority of her career in higher education, most recently at Butler University. A children’s book illustrator at heart and trade, Regan is enjoying time with her little guy as she begins to rebuild her portfolio. You can find her around the Southside of Indianapolis as she runs after Damon, a very active toddler.
Sarah grew up a small town Indiana girl, now living in downtown Indianapolis. She is a wife, mama to a little guy, Jackson (1), and a full-time teacher on the westside of Indianapolis. Before having her son, Sarah and her husband took a small break away from Indianapolis to live in England for a couple of years while traveling around Europe. She loves spending quality time with her family in the downtown neighborhoods as well as running, cooking, and reading.
Staci is a wife, mom, chiropractor, business coach and lifestyle enthusiast. She moved from her home state of North Dakota to Fishers, IN in August 2016. She enjoys being an involved and awesome step-mom to two boys, and with her husband Nate, welcomed their baby girl into the world in August, 2017. She is thrilled to be opening her next chiropractic practice with her husband in Noblesville in January, 2018. Additional interests include travel, fitness, nutrition, and quality connections with people who are also driven and passionate about life!
Tiffany is a life-long hoosier from Brazil, IN who currently lives in Indianapolis, IN with her husband/highschool sweetheart, Kevin, and thier son, Valentine. She is a graduate of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, where she obtained her BA in Theatre with a minor in music. She currntly works as a part-time as a registration & scheduling coordinator and social media coordinator for a local non-profit called Reach For Youth. She considers being a mother her main full time job. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys writing, impov comedy, hiking, listening to music and attending concerts, and spending time with her family and friends.
Megan was born and raised in Northwest Indiana where she currently resides with her husband and 3 boys. She graduated Nursing School in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Purdue University Northwest. After dedicating 5 wonderful years to Maternal/Child Nursing, Megan decided to leave bedside nursing to work inside her home as a SAHM. When not up to her elbows in diapers, Megan enjoys music, fashion, interior design, and her new found love of fitness. Megan loves spending time with her family and working with the Non-profit organization, Mason’s Mission.
