Our 10 Favorite Sledding Hills in Indianapolis

It’s the first measurable snowfall in the Circle City and that can mean only one thing – it’s sledding time! We have rounded up ten of our favorite places to sled around the city. So bundle up the family, grab those sleds and head out to one of these hills to make memories your kids will never forget! Let’s go sledding in Indianapolis and around town! 


Flat Fork Creek Park – Fortville

Flat Fork Creek Park is the highest point in Hamilton County and a favorite in the Fishers area! The 60 foot sledding hill is sure to keep your kids laughing each and every time.


Cool Creek Park – Carmel

Nestled between Carmel and Westfield, Cool Creek Park is a great pace for some sledding fun. Plus the Nature Center is the perfect place to warm up afterwards!


Sarah T. Bolton Park – Beech Grove

Sarah T. Bolton Park is the perfect sledding hill in a family friendly area in Beech Grove.


Fort Harrison State Park – Indianapolis

The huge hill in Fort Harrison State Park has been a local favorite for years! Grab those sleds and join the fun! This is one of our favorite places for sledding in Indianapolis! 


Garfield Park – Indianapolis

This may be the oldest park in the city, but IMB contributors promise it’s a fun place for sledding! 


Southeastway Park –  New Palestine 

This popular Indy Parks and Recreation park, Southeastway Park, has a sledding hill that won’t disappoint!


Washington Township Park – Avon

Looking for a place to sled on the west side? Washington Township Park in Avon has a hill that is perfect for a family sledding adventure.


Simon Moon Park – Westfield

The hill at Simon Moon Park is a fast one and perfect for a day of sledding with the family!


Freedom Park – Greenwood

The sledding headquarters of Greenwood can be found at the huge hill in Freedom Park! Enjoy hours of fun on this hill and sled until your heart is content.


Heritage Park – Fishers

While this may not be the biggest hill, Heritage Park is perfect for newbie sledders or those who just want to take it a little bit slower.
